U Pick ’Em!

Freshwater Farms Reserve invites you to come out to the garden on Wednesdays through the beginning of November to pick your own bouquet from its colorful flower garden.

U-Pick flowers will be available every Wednesday afternoon from 2-6 p.m. through Nov. 4 at the farm, 5851 Myrtle Ave., Eureka. Sponsored and nurtured by the Redwood Community Action Agency, pickers are asked for donations for the flowers on a sliding $5-$30 scale to help support RCAA’s community farm project, which recently lost its grant funding.

The flower garden is full of dahlias, zinnias, sunflowers and more along a flat ¾-mile trail, perfect for an afternoon’s wandering.
