Unlock Your Memories

Writer Amanda Devon will teach a free six-week Storytelling & Memoir Workshop at Humboldt Senior Resource Center in Eureka on Monday afternoons beginning Oct. 12.

The class, which is open to everyone regardless of writing experience, will help participants bring some of their favorite life experiences and memories to life in short personal stories using guided writing techniques. It’s an opportunity to share snippets from your own unique life journey, and hear others’ experiences.

Rediscover some forgotten moments, your family traditions and life lessons, and put them into a collection of short essays.

Sessions are every Monday from 3-4:30 p.m. from Oct. 12 through Nov. 16 at HSRC, 1910 California St. Sign up at the reception desk or call 707-443-9747. Bring a notebook and a good pen.
