The article “Health Care a Human Right?” in September’s Senior News (page 10) included the erroneous statement in a quoted American Bar Association article that credited President Dwight D. Eisenhower with passage of Medicare. The Medicare and Medicaid Act was signed in 1965 by President Lyndon B. Johnson. Thanks to alert reader Martin Smukler for the heads up.
